Her arms are a green heron in its vigilance on a silver field, with green flaunches, which she believes to representitive of her personality (well, she wishes). The green represents hope, joy, and loyalty in love. Silver represents peace and sincerity. The heron in its vigilance is a symbol of vigilance, tact, delicacy, renewal, life, transformation, patience, grace. Flaunches were given by the king for virtue and learning.

Avelyn is also skilled in the art of sewing, though she certainly did not receive a Willow for it.
